
Codes and Practices
Concern is committed to meeting the humanitarian imperative to save lives and reduce suffering in the event of a disaster.
Concern is able to respond quickly, effectively and creatively to people who are unable to meet their own basic needs, especially in rapid on-set emergencies. In all emergency interventions, Concern is guided by the following international codes of conduct and practice:
• The Code of Conduct of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in Disaster Relief
• The Humanitarian Charter
• The People in Aid Code of Practice in the Management and Support of Aid Personnel
• The Sphere Projects Minimum Standards in Disaster Response
Concern is also committed to the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership International, which improves levels of programme accountability.
