The final of the Concern Debates takes place today. Sandford Park School and Largy College will be debating the motion: “Developing countries must reverse their population growth as a condition for receiving overseas aid.”
We’re happy to announce the winners of the Concern Cecil Woodham Smith Creative Writing Competition 2009.
As you may or may not know, we received over 800 entries from places far and near: Japan; Niger; Liberia; India; USA; UK and of course Ireland.
First of all, let me once again congratulate both Gort and Sandford Park for a brilliant Concern Debates National Final.
Well done to each of the over 800 people who entered the 2009 Concern Creative Writing Competition.
While my spies were keeping tabs on the debate between Gort and Mean Scoil Mhuire, I was watching the events in the second of our dramatic semi-finals.
