Charsadda has been turned upside down by the floods. Village upon village has simply been wiped away. So far, in this district, Concern Worldwide has distributed basic household items and hygiene kits to 19,880 people.
Nothing in living memory compares to the floods that hit Pakistan in the last days of July this year. Concern’s emergency team responded straight away, and this video shows some of ways we have helped so far.
I travelled to Shikarpur, in the Sindh Province of southern Pakistan. I travelled along the main road; all that lay ahead was water, under which entire villages lie – completely submerged, completely destroyed.
