Paul O’Brien, Concern’s overseas director, appeared on RTE’s Drive Time radio programme recently to talk about the situation in Myanmar. You can listen to the programme here (the interview is entitled “Burma aid flights suspended by UN”).

Concern’s partner Welthungerhilfe has begun distribution of food and supplies, according to Angela Schwarz, Welthungerhilfe’s regional co-ordinator for Myanmar. Welthungerhilfe is focusing its efforts in areas where it has projects, including Htan Tabin and in some of the poorest areas around Yangon and Rangoon.
