Climate chaos: you can help

Despite the fact that people in developing countries play no part in creating climate change, they’re the ones who suffer the most because of it. It is our duty to stop climate chaos, take care of the planet and protect the world’s poorest people.

International Disaster Reduction Day

Today is International Day for Disaster Reduction. Concern Worldwide welcomes the official marking of this day as it highlights the importance of assessing and reducing risk in countries prone to disaster.

Crucial Copenhagen

Yesterday, I talked on RTE Radio 1 about climate change and the conference in Copenhagen.

Hard bargaining in Copenhagen

Talks were suspended yesterday for five hours at the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen. Suspicions were raised by the African group, supported by the G77 – representing  130 developing nations - the conference was in danger of collapsing the Kyoto Protocol. 

Appealing to Copenhagen

The largest and what is being considered the most important UN climate conference opens today 7 December. To coincide with this, 56 national newspapers in 45 countries are sharing a common editorial – an appeal to Copenhagen.

The Climate Chaos Wave

My boyfriend has a tattoo of a wave on his arm. He acquired it for free from a guy called Tattoo Lou. Now, I’m far too unromantic to dream about a matching tattoo, but an upcoming event in Dublin has me thinking of waves and tattoos.
