“Water is life”
It’s now nearly two months since the earthquake hit Haiti and an estimated 700,000 people are living in make-shift shelters. Concern is focusing most of its emergency response on water and sanitation in two areas in Port-au-Prince.
Bringing clean water to rural Tanzania
As a city girl, it’s hard for me to imagine life without water coming from the tap. Many people, however, do not have this luxury. Earlier this month, I met a woman whose life has been changed thanks to Concern’s water programme in rural Tanzania.
Emergency relief to reach over 150,0000
Concern Worldwide has announced the beginning of a six month emergency recovery and rehabilitation programme in Haiti. This will target 150,000 people who were affected by the earthquake.
