The Concern Creative Writing Competition is an annual event which began in 2008 to mark Concern's 40th anniversary as a charity.
Past topics
Over the past few years, the topics of the writing competition have focused on improving life in the developing world. Subjects have included:
- A world without hunger
- What you would write to President Obama about global hunger, child labour and climate change
- The Millennium Development Goals
- Living on less than $2 a day in the developing world
- The future of a child born today in the developing world
- Lessons we can learn from the developing world
