School speakers

You can request a school speaker to visit your primary or secondary school, to talk to students about Concern's important work overseas.

We can let your students know first hand how they can get involved.

To request a speaker, email schoolspeaker@concern.net

During a visit by one of Concern's school speakers, students are shown examples of many of the items distributed in times of emergency to affected populations: mosquito nets; cooking utensils; water containers and water purifying tablets.

Students can also learn how to set up a therapeutic feeding centre. A demonstration will be given on how to check if a child is malnourished and how health workers check and monitor the height and weight of patients. Perhaps, most importantly, students can see some of the therapeutic food items distributed in times of food crisis.

If you would like to discuss school speaking in secondary schools, email schoolspeaker@concern.net.
