Dear Friend,

Up to 20 million people have been made homeless by devastating floods that have hit Nepal, India and Bangladesh in the last few days. I was in Bangladesh earlier this week, and as I left on Tuesday they were preparing themselves for the worst. It is predicted that the situation could deteriorate further in the coming days.

Also this month, read about my visit to Tanzania, and learn about our new campaign, Unheard Voices.

Thank you for your support.

Nathaniel's diary, opinions and experiences provide a valuable glimpse into what life is like for many thousands of displaced people in Chad.

Giving marginalised farmers a voice

More than 75 percent of the world's hungry and malnourished live in rural areas. Most of them are marginalised smallholder farmers; more than two thirds are women. Concern Worldwide plans to highlight the marginalisation and exclusion of the poorest smallholder farmers through our campaign 'Unheard Voices' - with the aim of influencing review of the government's agriculture policy in 2008. Please sign up now and add your voice in support of poor farmers.
