Dear
Friend,
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to
our recent emergency appeals for Chad and the floods in South Asia.
This month we bring you updates from both Chad and South Asia in the form of blogs.
As well as news on how your money is being spent, the blogs give a valuable
insight into the work of our teams in the field and the lives of those
affected by emergencies such as these.
Thank you
for your support.
Tom Arnold Chief Executive, Concern

Chad blog launches |
Following the recent set up of Concern's
emergency response in Chad, we are launching a blog from the field team there.
The first posts come from journalist Margaret Ward, who visited the area in July.
Her diary gives a glimpse of what life is like for the people affected
by the conflict in Chad, as well as for the Concern staff members who
are working in the area.

South Asia floods blog |
Another new blog brings together
stories and updates from Nepal, India and Bangladesh, where last month's flooding
affected 16 million people. The situation in Bangladesh has slowly
begun to improve, but there has been a huge amount of damage to crops,
roads and schools, and the risk of disease is still high. You can now
view Concern's response in Bangladesh using Google Earth.

Getting ready for the new debates season |
The Concern Debates are back. We have
spent three months re-vamping our resources, including posters, cue cards
and a wall planner, all of which are available online. You can also read
about last year's winners' trip to Haiti, where their stay with local students
and teachers gave them firsthand experience of real Haitian life.
