Training landless people in Nepal

Nepal is the second poorest country in Asia. Concern has been working in the mid-west of the country since 2005. This is the poorest region, where food shortages are a regular occurrence.

Nepal, Tim Peek, Nov 2006In our sustainable agriculture project, Concern is seeking funding to establish “Landless Life Schools”, which will offer training to poor people who have little access to cultivable land.

This training will include the creation of kitchen gardens, raising animals such as poultry and goats, how to earn money by processing or adding value to existing raw materials and how to access markets. We will work with men and women of all castes and ethnicities.

Your donation of €20,000 can establish eight Landless Life Schools. To find out more click here.
