Making a major donation
Becoming a major donor is an opportunity to fund a specific charity project in one of the countries where we work. A major donation is a one-off donation or multi-annual funding in excess of €5,000.
You can choose to make a one-off donation or provide funding over a number of years.
Picking a project
You can fund projects on your own or in a group with family, friends or colleagues. Pick a project that you feel passionate about and with your help we can make sure it is reaching the people who need it.
Email one of our major donor team at major.donor@concern.net. They can help you to decide on a project to fund. They’ll also give you regular updates on the progress of your project.
What can you achieve?
Big donations make an enormous difference to the lives of the people supported by Concern:
Read about how one major donor helped Concern reconstruct a school in Kenya. To find out how a major donor syndicate improved the lives of those living on the flood plains of Zambia.
Women of Concern
Concern has established a Women of Concern group to support Concern’s work with women in the world’s poorest countries and highlighting the issues they face. This provides an opportunity for Irish women to express solidarity and support for women who are less fortunate.
Membership of Harambee
Harambee is a Swahili word that means “working together for progress”, and is now the name given to a collaborative project between Concern and a group of committed supporters, working with the poorest communities to help change their lives for the better. Find out more.
Your own proposal
Concern works in five key areas: livelihoods, education, health, HIV and AIDS and emergencies. If there is a specific programme or place you’re interested in, we would be delighted to speak with you. What proposals or ideas do you have?
