Some helplessness, but more hope

Other things that came through really clearly are the need for delivery on promises by the international community, the African leadership that’s making a real difference and the prospect that Ireland could take a real leadership role on this hunger issue. With its own history of poverty, its well recognised public support and consistent political pressure, there would be no better outcome from today than to harness all of this in favour of a serious impact on the problem of world hunger.
