Concern works
We value every cent and penny we receive, and work very hard to use it effectively. In the last four years alone, we have used your donations to respond to emergencies in 33 countries, helping over 10 million people.
Experience and challenges
For over 40 years, Concern has been working to end poverty and suffering. We strive to work with the poorest people, in the poorest communities, in the poorest countries in the world.
We have faced massive challenges over our 40 years, but we also know that we are making a difference to the lives of millions of people.
In emergencies
Our emergency programmes try to meet the basic needs of people affected by natural disasters and war. We also help people who have been displaced from their homes because of these emergencies. This usually means providing food, water, healthcare and shelter.
Our pioneering work on Community Therapeutic Care (CTC), which treats malnutrition, has saved countless lives in Niger, Ethiopia, Malawi and Kenya.
Since 2005, we have helped over 10 million people in emergency situations in 33 countries.
A lasting impact
Our longer term development work aims to have a lasting impact. This means providing people with the skills and resources to grow enough food and earn a living. It means giving children access to quality education and it means empowering people and tackling HIV and AIDS.
This is possible through our work with communities at local level, government level and international level with the European Union and United Nations.
