Sharing expertise
Right now, Concern is working with a number of companies, sharing knowledge and expertise, in an attempt to improve the lives of the poor and hungry.
Here are just two examples of how this works.
Easing hunger
A three-way charity partnership between Concern, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the Kerry Group aims to develop innovative solutions to hunger and malnutrition. This is being done by using the expertise of the three organisations as well as Kerry’s financial support of the project over a three year period.
Microfinance in Cambodia
Another example of partnership, beyond funding, is Concern’s partnership with DEPFA bank. DEPFA is providing both financial support and knowledge to AMK, Concern’s microfinance institution in Cambodia. To find out about microfinance watch this video made in Bangladesh.
