How your money helps
Many vulnerable communities across the world have great difficulties buying, growing or getting access to food. When you raise money for FoodAid, you are helping people address these food shortages.
Saving lives
Concern Worldwide has over 40 years of experience delivering life-saving programmes overseas. We use this experience, and our knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, to help hungry communities in 28 countries.
The money you raise will support Concern’s work.
The specifics
One way your support will help is by providing families with essential seeds and tools. Included in this are specially designed drought-resistant crops. Their use helps farmers grow nutritious food despite bad conditions.

Goats and chickens
Other projects that you will support involve the distribution of livestock such as chickens and goats. Produce from the livestock can be sold at markets, or eaten by the families. Training will also be provided to help families care for the animals.
Every pound or penny
Concern is trying to help these families work their own way out of poverty. Every pound or penny you raise will make a huge difference. Here are a few examples:
- £1 buys a fruit tree sapling in Malawi
- £10 buys six chickens. One chicken can produce 200 eggs a year
- £30 buys 24 kilograms of agriculture seeds for three hectares of land in India
