Our campaign

FoodAid is about helping people make long-term changes to their lives. It’s about securing reliable sources of food, helping to reduce people’s dependency on aid.

By joining FoodAid, your school will be raising money for vital food programmes in the world’s poorest countries.

Your support will make a lasting difference to the lives of the most vulnerable communities Concern works with. The money you raise will provide people with the resources and skills needed to escape from a cycle of poverty and hunger.

Get involved

It’s easy to take part. Simply organise a fundraising event at your school to coincide with harvest festival or World Food Day, which takes place annually on 16 October.

What type of event?

Fundraising activities can range from organising a FoodAid assembly to simply having a fundraising collection. Alternatively, why not organise a cake sale, a non-uniform day or a sponsored walk? There are loads of options

Learning as well

FoodAid is about education too. So, make sure you use the lesson plans and factsheets to explore food issues with your class.

We provide songs, sheet music and games that can also be used. All of them are educational and we hope entertaining.
