This section of the site contains a wealth of educational materials, including lesson plans, factsheets and posters. All of these can be used to inform students about the realities of hunger and malnutrition.
Lesson plans
Each lesson plan is user-friendly and has clear links with key stages 1 and 2 of the citizenship curriculum.
The lesson plans give teachers and pupils the opportunity to explore some key questions: “what is hunger and malnutrition?” and “why are people hungry?”

Fact sheets
Our downloadable factsheets support the FoodAid lesson plans. The factsheets can be used either as background reading for teachers or as handouts for students. The factsheets cover the following topics:

Assembly presentation
How do you introduce FoodAid to students? One very effective way is through an assembly presentation. It is a great way to launch the campaign and introduce the issues of food and hunger. Posters

Farmyard cut-outs
We’ve also got some farmyard cut-outs for you to download. These can be used to fill in the farmyard poster we sent you in your fundraising pack.
Simply download the document, print them out and use your scissors to cut out the shapes. As you raise funds, you can fill then fill your poster with pictures of animals, crops and tools.

Raising publicity about your FoodAid activities is a great way to get your school in the local paper. It also helps promote awareness about issues relating to hunger and global poverty.
