Job purpose
To assist the Individuals Giving Team achieve its fundraising targets for Regular Giving, and provide Concern Worldwide with funds to carry out Relief and Development work in countries of operation.
Duties and responsibilities
- Targets: To set up at target number of regular donors by direct debit between members of the public and Concern through door to door fundraising in various locations around Ireland.
- Training: Talking to the public about Concern’s work in a passionate, clear and truthful manner. Using the ‘approach’ as explained in training and in coaching sessions ensuring we use appropriate fundraising techniques that conform with our standards of practice
- Awareness: Behaving in a professional and courteous manner at all times, as you are the public face of Concern. Never knowingly bringing Concern or any other charity into disrepute. Portraying Concern’s work in a positive and enthusiastic manner at all times.
- Information Informing the donor that we are paid fundraisers employed by Concern, during the conversation and before they fill in the form, as instructed in training.
- Travel: You may be required to be available to travel for a few days a week. In some cases this may include overnight stays.
- Procedures: at all times adhering to Concern’s procedures, and Concern’s Staff Code of Conduct and Programme Participant Protection Policy.
- Fundraising: fundraising and other relevant duties, as requested by the ROI Door to Door Team Leader and Door to Door Project Manager.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Excellent knowledge of, and commitment to the vision, mission and values of Concern Worldwide .
- Ability to meet deadlines and targets.
Desirable
- Proven success in fundraising
- Previous fundraising experience.
- Competent in the use of modern information technology applications.
- Full clean drivers license
