Ethiopian irrigation project: picture gallery

Recently I visited an irrigation project in Ethiopia, where Concern helped cultivate 175 hectares of government-owned undeveloped land.

People who migrated from the highlands have been given 0.5 hectares each. They were then involved in the digging of irrigation channels to each plot. So far, 370 people have been given irrigated land. A proposed 175 hectares will be developed over the coming year.

Here we meet Engla and Debela, who migrated to Bilate Chrocho and benefited from this project.
