Unheard Voices: voices of poor farmers

Unheard voices

Giving marginalised farmers a voice

Half the world’s hungry people live on small farms. Farming is often their only option, even though many struggle to produce enough food to live on.

Concern's work on the ground shows that a small amount of help can dramatically transform the lives of the poorest farmers. Given the right support, they have the potential to grow their way out of poverty and hunger, but no one is listening to them. Will you?

Concern works with marginal farmers providing practical support and ensuring that their rights are upheld. Concern is also urging national governments and the UK government to tailor their agricultural policies to reach farmers like Fatima.

Help the Unheard voices campaign

Please email Douglas Alexander, Secretary of State for International Development NOW. The more emails he gets, the more likely he is to do something about the plight of poor farmers around the world.

Please help us make sure the UK government does all it can to help poor farmers fight hunger and poverty.
