Airport staff show their Concern
Thursday, 8 November 2007
Generous staff at Belfast International Airport have donated £500 to Concern.
The money was raised through regular staff contributions, and was presented to the Concern’s Deirdre Murphy by Belfast International Airport managing director John Doran.
“We’re delighted that staff at Belfast International Airport have chosen to support our work around the world. Concern operates in 29 of the world’s poorest countries across Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. The money donated today will have an enormous impact on the lives of very poor communities. For example, £500 could irrigate a farm in Ethiopia, turning dusty soil into productive land” said Deirdre Murphy, Corporate Fundraiser with Concern.
