'Another World is Possible' Concern attends WSF
Tuesday, 20 February 2007
The 7th World Social Forum(WSF) brought global social movements to Nairobi, Kenya, in January 2007.

Rallying around the clarion call of "Another World is Possible", the WSF has placed social justice, international solidarity, gender equality, peace and defence of the environment on the agenda of the world's peoples.
It is an attempt to expand the democratic spaces for those seeking concrete, sustainable and progressive alternatives to imperialist globalisation.
The WSF is, to use a Kiswahili word, a global Jukwaa, an international platform, where participants search for common actions and strategies through creative dialogue and identification of common objectives.
Amongst them was Alliance 2015 and Concern Worldwide. We presented the work of our partners in the areas of land rights and livelihoods, stopping child labour, and responses to HIV&AIDS.
In one session on "the struggle for land rights and livelihoods" partners from India, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Kenya presented their work, while we were also joined by a Sudanese partner working on HIV&AIDS and by a partner from Pakistan.
Several sessions were presented collaboratively with Alliance2015 colleagues.
