Photos: who is Lucie?

In January 2010, Galet Greffin, a semi-rural area on the outskirts of Port au Prince, was largely wiped out by the Haiti earthquake. Concern Worldwide have been working closely with communities there since the earthquake struck. Eight months on, we look at how the people of Galet Greffin are picking up the pieces.

Through the waters of Pakistan

I travelled to Shikarpur, in the Sindh Province of southern Pakistan. I travelled along the main road; all that lay ahead was water, under which entire villages lie – completely submerged, completely destroyed.

Concern’s CEO Tom Arnold made a forceful case for Ireland’s role in tackling hunger and child under-nutrition at a forum attended by Hilary Clinton and Foreign Affairs Minister Micheál Martin in New York.

Time for action

Human cost of Pakistan disaster
