How money raised is divided

Concern is intent on focusing on its five key organisational programmes. These consist of Education, Emergency Response and Preparedness, Health, HIV and AIDS, and Livelihoods Approach.

Concern is constantly trying to learn what works best in terms of development effectiveness and impact within its programmes.

Continuing response

Concern works within its key organisational programmes through a combination of assessment, supporting of local partnerships, maintaining its responses to the food crises in Africa, providing assistance to severe flood areas, continuing to respond to ‘forgotten’ emergencies, and infrastructure work in refugee camps.

Supporting the most vulnerable

Other projects Concern divides it time, skill and finance across include interventions on food security, micro-finance, and support to local development organisations.

Concern also supports the most vulnerable with projects in agriculture production (potatoes, rice, sorghum, maize and other staples), second cropping, livestock restocking and livestock rearing.
