Supplies and logistics
Concern operates using general procedures and rules relating to supply chain management.
The Supplies and Logistics section contains details on current open tenders and recent awards together with some useful information for suppliers. The supply chain function within Concern's global framework is guided by and supported from the Dublin office. The general procedures and rules relating to supply chain management on a global level are also decided from Dublin.
Locally based suppliers
In conjunction with Dublin, field offices tailor procedures in order to meet specific field needs. Each of Concern's international field offices have supply chain functions that primarily deal with a local supply base and a local handling of goods (including customs clearance of imports).
All international supply enquiries should, under normal circumstances, be directed to the Dublin office. Field level procurement, meanwhile, is handled by field office personnel through locally based suppliers.
Sources of supply
It is Concern's policy that, where possible, goods and services should be secured in the field of operation through local markets. Where this is not possible under Concern’s guidelines - and/or local market constraints - then the Dublin office engages with the procurement process for alternate sources of supply.
