Irish celebrities unite against stigma for World AIDS Day

Celebrities Larry Mullen, Andrea Corr, Eamonn Dunphy and John Rocha have joined forces for a national awareness campaign on HIV and AIDS related stigma called Stamp Out Stigma. It urges people across Ireland to challenge personal prejudices against those living with HIV and AIDS. A series of advertisements featuring the celebrities will run from 30 November – 9 December.

The adverts were launched today at Government Buildings by Sean Power TD, Minister of State, Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. Also speaking at the launch were Noel Webb, the Chairperson and Tendai Madonda, the Vice Chairperson of the Stamp Out Stigma campaign.
