Children like Abraham (see TV ad), are suffering.

Other children such as Assnaku (pictured below) are also at risk. When her mother brought her to the Concern clinic, Assnaku was listless and could hardly see through swollen eyes. She was diagnosed with a severe form of malnutrition.

What is Concern doing to help?

With the support of our donors, we have been distributing food and providing special treatment to children who are severely malnourished.

We have also distributed seeds and tools to families so they have the opportunity to plant their next crop and yield a harvest in November. Right now, families are using any income they have to buy food so these tools and seeds are essential in order to help families fend for themselves in the coming months.
