New Google Earth application

Concern’s team in Bangladesh have created a new Google Earth application, enabling you to view information and pictures about "Concern Four Decades in Bangladesh". This information was taken from the recent Irish Times supplement about Concern’s work.

You can view this application via Google Maps in a web browser by clicking here.

To view using the Google Earth application:

  • Download Google Earth by clicking here
  • Once the download is complete, click here to download the Bangladesh files. Save the files, and then open them
  • Explore the satellite maps of Bangladesh, containing markers depicting areas of operation for Concern

This is pretty good. However - can you add the following mime types to /etc/mime.types (or httpd.conf) on your web server (so that the file is associated with Google Earth when it is served) application/vnd.google-earth.kml+xml .kml application/vnd.google-earth.kmz .kmz Currently it's of text/plain type

Thanks for your comment; it would be much more convenient if the .KML file was associated with Google Earth from the server.

i had difficulty opening this at first, but hadn't downloaded properly. just opened it now and it looks amazing
