Getting aid into Myanmar

Paul O’Brien, Concern’s overseas director, appeared on RTE’s Drive Time radio programme recently to talk about the situation in Myanmar. You can listen to the programme here (the interview is entitled “Burma aid flights suspended by UN”).

Concern is still raising funds for the victims of the cyclone in Myanmar. The money is being channelled through two of Concern’s partners, who are already working in the country – CESVI and Welthungerhilfe. These partner organisations were working in Myanmar before the cyclone.

good interview. i think aid agencies should be going straight into burma though. the government there shold be opening up more

I have been trying to get donations for you but some people are giving out to me, saying that only 4cents out of a euro goes to the people in need and the rest to administration. Please give me a reply to them. thanks

it is un fortunity to have cyclone in myanmar when the country is now progressing now and it is the time to pray for sppedy recovery from the shock that had now.
