Technology and success in Kenya and Malawi

Hunger is a major problem and the reasons for it are varied and complex. Traditionally, humanitarian organisations often dealt with the problem by providing people with food aid.

The thinking around hunger has evolved and so too have the solutions; as is the case with some of Concern’s projects in Malawi and Kenya. Technology has been a major reason for their success, with mobile phones and mobile cash machines playing a part.

I am a Malawian journalist with The Guardian Newspaper which one of its elements is bias towards developmental reporting so would anyone from concern please take up the initiative to routinely send the good job this NGO is doing for instance in water, food security etc
