World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day has taken place on 1 December every year since 1988. It was the first ever global health day and serves as a reminder for people all over the world to unite in the fight against AIDS.

Concern Worldwide marks World AIDS Day each year, raising awareness about HIV and AIDS and offering people the opportunity to show their support for people living with HIV.

Committed to change

Since 1981, more that 60 million people have been infected with HIV and nearly 30 million people have died of AIDS. We are committed to the Millennium Development Goal of halting and reversing the spread of HIV and AIDS by 2015.
