Bake off!

Two more schools have earned their places in the Bake a Difference ranks, raising money for Concern Worldwide. Well done to Kirk Sandall Infant School, Doncaster, and Fletton Student Support Centre in Peterborough.

Baking fun

Everybody got involved in the bake sale at Kirk Sandall Infant School and lots of fun was had in the process. The baking club produced posters for the event as well as delicious culinary delights ranging from treacle cakes to Victoria sponge. They even sent texts to parents reminding them to attend the event. All of this really paid off and they raised £221 for Concern.

Melt in your mouth

Students at Fletton Support Centre raised over £130 in their cake sale which was held at their local parish church. They put a lot of planning into making the baking sale a success. One of the students, Liam Hills, told us how much he enjoyed taking part:

We looked at a balanced diet for the young children in Africa and we looked at flags and countries which are in Africa. We designed a poster to advertise the cake sale and we baked some lovely cakes that melt in your mouth. In the morning, we went and sold cakes to the old people’s home as well as in local shops. A week before the event, we had taken orders from the shops so we knew who to supply the cakes to. We raised a smashing £132 for those in need of the money.

Thanks to both schools for baking a difference in support of Concern.
