More cake conquests

Three more schools have joined in this year’s Bake a Difference campaign and have raised funds for Concern Worldwide’s life-saving food programmes.

Bankfield bakers

Food Technology students at The Bankfield School, Cheshire, worked hard to produce a feast of cakes to sell – and their culinary delights didn’t disappoint. They made everything from fairy cakes and biscuits to chocolate brownies and cream cakes. The event was a great success and raised over £100.

Breadsall bazaar

Breadsall Support Centre went all out for Bake a Difference and made an occasion of it. Parents, pupils and people from the community attended the event which included a cake sale, raffle, tombola, a stall of crafts and a treasure map. Everyone involved had a great afternoon and managed to raise more than £300 – not bad for an hour’s work!

Trinity Treats

The hospitality groups at Trinity School, Oakfield College, in Benwell, Newcastle worked hard baking cakes for their cake sale. Cup cakes, chocolate brownies, fancies, lemon drizzle cakes, coffee and walnut cakes are just some of the cakes that they baked. They raised more than £112, which is a tremendous effort for such a small school of just 60 students.

Well done!

A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone involved.
