Concern Worldwide in Bangladesh is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following positions:

1. Project officer-Hisal

The Project Officer (Implementing Partner Support) is responsible for ensuring implementation of project activities with assigned implementing partner(s) within the HISAL project which impact on the lives of the Haor Programme and results in lasting positive change.

Key Responsibilities are:

Ensuring the HISAL project activities are implemented with maximum efficiency and professionalism that would bring a positive change in the lives of the beneficiaries of HISAL Project, through providing constant support to the assigned partner(s). Arranging necessary resources for the project and utilise them efficiently for implementation of high quality project activities for bringing positive change in the life of beneficiaries. As a member of the HISAL Project team, provide high quality and effective support to staff of the project/beneficiaries/partners.

Requirements are:

The candidate we are looking for will have a Bachelor degree (relevant discipline would be an advantage). At least 3 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of participatory programme planning, management, monitoring, and capacity building within a development organisation/NGO. Technical knowledge on Particular Programme would be an advantage. Experience in working through partners (NGO / GOB).
This position is based at Kishoregonj.

2. Project officer-Nodi O Jibon

The Project Officer NoJ (Partnership) is responsible for ensuring implementation of project activities with assigned implementing partner(s) within the NoJ project which impact on the lives of the Char Programme and results in lasting positive change.

Key Responsibilities are:

Ensuring the NoJ project activities are implemented with maximum efficiency and professionalism that would bring a positive change in the lives of the beneficiaries of NoJ Project, through providing constant support to the assigned partner(s). Arranging necessary resources for the project and utilise them efficiently for implementation of high quality project activities for bringing positive change in the life of beneficiaries. As a member of the NoJ Project team, provide high quality and effective support to staff of the project/beneficiaries/partners. Manage the Field Facilitators, in a manner that empowers them to deliver high quality support to the Project.

Requirements are:

The candidate we are looking for will have a Bachelor degree (relevant discipline would be an advantage). At least, 3 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of participatory programme planning, management, monitoring, and capacity building within a development organisation/NGO. Technical knowledge on Partnership programme (Community based) would be an advantage. Experience in working through partners (NGO / GOB).

This position is based at Nilphamari.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist-PRRA Programmes

The M & E Specialist – Poverty in Remote Rural Areas Programme is responsible for the quality of the M & E works of the PRRA Programme ensuring that it captures the impact, outcomes, outputs and activities of the projects under the programme and to ensure that M & E supports are adequately provided to all projects on M & E best practices, tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities are:

Ensuring the adequate support is provided to planning and designing of existing projects and upcoming projects from M & E perspectives. Ensure that PRRA programme has an M & E system appropriately set up functioning effectively. Ensure that the individual projects have appropriate M & E systems and project staffs are trained and confident in using the tools. Ensure that the M & E findings and organisational learning of the programme are appropriately documented and disseminated at the different levels. Ensure that the evaluations, researches, feasibility studies, cases studies are appropriately carried out. As a member of the PRRA Programme, to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellence within Concern’s work is captured, promoted and disseminated.

Requirements are:

Master Degree in social science from a recognised University with major in M&E and/or MIS system and/or research related subject. At least 3 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of M & E in the development organisations. Competent in using computer software particularly spreadsheet such as SPSS and ACCESS and database. Competent in using qualitative data collection tools and technique such as PRA and participatory monitoring and evaluation (PME).

This position is based at Dhaka.

4. HIV and AIDS and health expert-Learning and Sharing

The HIV and AIDS and Health Expert is responsible for ensuring quality of HIV mainstreaming in programmes and the organization, contributing to reduce vulnerability to HIV transmission and quality standard are met or exceeded in health and nutrition activities in Bangladesh for positive impact and change on the lives of extremely poor people.

Key Responsibilities are:

Ensuring that quality HIV and AIDS activities across the programmes contribute to improving the extreme poor people lives. Ensure that the best practices and lessons learned from HIV and AIDS mainstreaming activities are applied within and outside of the organization. Cross programme working utilises the skills, knowledge and experiences of those who have shown best practice and innovation in delivering impact on poor peoples lives. Ensure an enabling environment in Concern and partners that leads to openness to discuss HIV, sex and sexuality. As a member of the Quality team, to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellence within Concern’s work is captured, promoted and disseminated. Ensuring the best practices and lessons learned from health & nutrition activities are applied across different projects within and outside the organization

Requirements are:

Masters in Public Health or MBBS. At least 3 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of HIV and AIDS programmes. Sound knowledge in HIV and AIDS and Health interventions and best practices. Experience of project development, quality assurance and monitoring. Experience of working with Government.
