Playoffs 2017–2018

Motion: “‘The European Union is failing Africa’”

Sixteen schools progressed to the Playoff Round and competed for eight of the sixteen places in the Knockout Round.

The top eight schools without any byes in the League Phase progressed automatically to the Knockout Round and will debate against the winners of the Playoff Round in early March.

Quarter-Finals

The dates of the Quarter Finals are yet to be confirmed but are scheduled to take place the week of the 19th of March. 

Semi-Finals

The Semi-Finals 2017-2018 will take place on Thursday, 19 April in the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, Dublin.

National Final

The Concern Debates National Final will be held on Thursday, 3 May in The Helix, DCU.
