Volunteering for Concern
Volunteering for Concern
As a charity, Concern Worldwide is always on the lookout for volunteers. Please see here for details on the opportunities to help as a volunteer in Ireland.
The work of volunteers is central to everything we do, and the scale of the input of volunteers isn't always visible but it is truly remarkable.
Wherever possible, Concern employs people from the countries in which we work. As well, our overseas volunteers generally require some previous experience or relevant qualifications.
Volunteer overseas as an EU Aid Volunteer
The EU Aid Volunteer initiative is a great opportunity for junior and senior professionals looking to work in humanitarian response and development. Successful applicants benefit from a three-month apprenticeship in Concern Worldwide's Dublin office, followed by a 12-month placement overseas in one of Concern's country offices.
Our most recent cohort of EU Aid Volunteers have been deployed to Haiti, Malawi and Sierra Leone after completing their three-month apprenticeship in our Dublin office.

CONCERN-ing your career: An information and networking event will take place on April 5, 2018 in the CHQ Building, Dublin 1. Students, graduates, educators, and those interested in working in the humanitarian sector are invited to hear stories and reports from EU Aid Volunteers and explore options for building a future career with Concern.
