One Percent Difference

Concern Worldwide is proud to be part of the One Percent Difference campaign. The aim of the campaign is to encourage people in Ireland to give one percent of either their time or money to a charity they want to support.

Ireland is one of the most generous nations in the world. Despite the recent economic climate, Irish people continue to give generously. This campaign aims to help us look at what giving actually means and encourages people to give in a more sustained way. The idea is simple. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, we all give the same – one percent.

Our heroes

We’re very lucky to have so many wonderful volunteers who give their time selflessly and generously. From judging debates competitions, organising charity fundraising events, working in our office and helping at events such as the 1000 DAYS campaign, our volunteers really have a huge impact on our charity work. Without their support, we wouldn’t be able to run all the activities and campaigns that we do. One of our regular and much appreciated volunteers, Kay Nolan, recently received a special award for her contribution.

You can help too

There are so many ways that you can help make a difference. Your one percent could be making a donation, supporting our Christmas Gifts campaign, taking part in Fast or by volunteering with us.

You can also help us to be in with a chance to win up to €20,000 by posting a pic or video of yourself making your 1% difference for Concern. See here for details. The deadline is Friday 15th November at12pm midnight.
