Philippines: how can you help?

Typhoon Haiyan has hit the Philippines. Now, millions of people need your help to survive. What can you do to help?

If you’d like to help but you aren’t sure how, don’t worry. There are plenty of ways you can lend a hand besides making a donation. Here are just a few ideas

Spread the word

We need people to spread the word about the impact of the typhoon, and why we’re raising funds to help. Here’s how:

Hold an event

Whether it’s your workplace, school, college or your back garden, holding a fundraiser is a great way to help. Put up one of these Philippines posters and get your friends or colleagues together to try one of these:

  • 24 hour fast
  • Cake sale
  • A collection
  • Sports tournament
