World Hunger Day

Every year, on 28 May, we mark World Hunger Day. It is a time to reflect on hunger and raise awareness about the many sustainable solutions to ending extreme hunger.

We will be informing people about the damage hunger does and how we are tackling the problem in the with the world’s most vulnerable communities.

Devastating problem

One in eight people around the world is hungry right now. That’s 875 million people, 12 times the population of the UK alone. Hunger affects everything for the world’s poorest people, but we believe that no one should have to live with the pain of hunger. We strive for a world where lives are not limited by lack of access to nutritious food.

We need you
