This year’s drought in east Africa has created the world’s worst food crisis. It is having a devastating effect on communities in northern Kenya who rely on cattle and rain to live.

Desperate for rain

Concern’s Elizabeth Wright has seen firsthand the plight of people affected by the drought in the area.  One man, Sora Kanchora, summed up the severity of the situation and the desperation of the people when he said:

If there is no more rain, we are all waiting for death. That is it.
