TV feature: Hope in the Congo

A film called “Hope in the Congo” has been shown nationwide in the US. Largely focusing on Concern’s work in the Democratic Republic of Congo, it got huge viewership, drawing a great deal of attention to the ongoing crisis in the country.

The film features Concern’s Emergency Director Dominic MacSorley, who travelled to Katanga with a film crew from PBS. They interviewed many Concern staff members and beneficiaries, including those involved in a bicycle convoy that distributed seeds and tools to 24 villages at the height of the rainy season.

To go accompany the film, Dominic has also contributed a blog to the PBS site. In it he responds to reader’s questions about his work, international aid and what’s happening in the Congo.
