Twitter writing competition

The closing date for our international writing competition is fast approaching – you must enter by midnight on Sunday. To mark this important deadline, we have launched a Twitter version of the competition.

The idea is this: write a tweet-length speech (140 characters) that you would like to deliver to the United Nations about one of the Millennium Development Goals. Find out more.

Get writing

Send it to us via our Twitter account. Put @concern at the beginning of your message, and get writing. At the end of your message include this hash tag #cmdg.

#cmdg stands for Concern Millennium Development Goals. It will help us keep track of all the entries. Are you wondering what a hash tag is? Read more.

Yes, you need to have your own Twitter account to take part.

The best tweet will receive a copy of our Obama Writing Competition book. The winner, and a selection of other runner-up tweets, may also appear in the new writing competition book that will be published later this year.
