This is Concern Worldwide's 2012 programme plan for Chad. The following is an excerpt from the document, which can be downloaded below.

The security situation in Chad is stabilizing, but a range of humanitarian crises persist. Chad is at the centre of Sahel food crisis, with irregular rains and food prices soaring due to demand in neighbouring countries (FEWS-Net.) After floods in 2010, the rains are two months late in 2011, and the crop forecast is poor. The country has suffered epidemics of cholera, rubella, polio, and meningitis in 2011. The fall-out from the crisis in Libya has had a serious impact on Chadian migrants and on Chad’s internal economy. The threat of conflict remains and the welfare of border populations, refugees, and displaced people is still precarious.
