Community-based management of acute Malnutrition in Nepal

Community-based management of acute Malnutrition in Nepal

20 April 2010

A final evaluation was carried out to assess the performance of the Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) pilot programme in Bardiya district, Nepal.

It focused on three main areas:

1) The national CMAM pilot strategy
2) The performance of the Bardiya pilot programme itself
3) The lessons learned and implications for the future

A number of other international NGOs were involved in the pilot. As Concern’s experience shows, their involvement allowed for the collection, analysis, documentation and dissemination of valuable data, essential for the short and long-term success of future CMAM programmes.
