Thousands feared dead as aid agency seeks urgent donations of €5m and releases €250,000 from its emergency fund immediately. All Concern staff reported safe.

Concern Worldwide, Ireland’s largest humanitarian agency, which has been working in Haiti since 1994, today launched an emergency appeal for an estimated €5 million to deal with the consequences of the biggest earthquake in the country in over two centuries.
