Concern’s new Food, Income and Markets Programme vision is: “to lift people out of chronic poverty and increase their capacity to withstand shocks and stresses.”

Our current livelihoods security programmes vary from emergency contexts involving food security and asset protection to rehabilitation-type activities such as livelihoods security and asset provision, to development work such as sustainable livelihoods and policy intervention.

Though there is variation within and between countries, the typical programme lies between food and livelihoods security.
