Statement on the death of Concern employee

23 September 2014

Dauda Konneh, Concern’s community development officer for construction in Liberia, has died. Duada had a long-term illness for which he was receiving treatment. His situation deteriorated over the last 10 days of his life.

Suspecting ebola, he attempted to register at the local emergency ebola testing unit centre last Friday. Sadly, he died overnight. Definitive results on the cause of Mr Konneh’s death are expected in the next few days.

Everyone in Concern Worldwide and, in particular, our team in Liberia, is deeply saddened Dauda’s death and we are supporting his family at this difficult time.
