When fighting erupted following the Kenyan presidential election in 2007, schools were badly affected. Many still haven’t recovered.
The slums in Kenya are in a dire state. Earlier in the week, I wrote about the stark choices some people are forced to make.
An opportunity
Many of these people can’t afford to send their children to school. For those who can, it is a valuable opportunity. The classrooms are cramped and dark, but the teachers are committed to education.
“Hard lessons”

They were broadcast on NTV Kenya in association with Concern.
