Back in the swing of things
By now, I’m sure you are back in the swing of school life and the summer holidays seem like a distant memory. Don’t worry though; the mid-term break is only eight weeks away!
Just to help add a bit more spice to your academic year we’ve sent a mailing to every school in the country with our schools programme brochure and registration forms for the Concern Debates and the Know Your World quiz.
View the schools programme brochure.
Check out all of the activities available in the programme and don’t forget to sign up to any of the activities that you’re interested in.
In the meantime, I’d like to draw your attention to some upcoming events.
Meet finalist workshops
This is a chance to learn more about the debates and chat to last year’s finalists Athlone Community College and CBS Thurles. There will be three workshops around the country: Carlow on 16 September, Galway on 2 October and Cork on 9 October. Email debates@concern.net to sign up or for more information.
Stop Child Labour at Soccerfest
The Stop Child Labour Campaign will be hosting kite making workshops at the Sport Against Racism Ireland soccerfest on the 13 and 14 September in the Phoenix Park.
If you happen to be in the Phoenix Park stop by and say hi to Lizzy and the gang (and maybe you could even decorate a kite).
